00 per hour as of 12/1/23* *Shifts Available: Day, Night, Weekends + Special Events* Rosecroft Raceway is seeking a part-time Cook to become an integral part of our Food and Beverage team! You will prepare food in the kitchen for immediate and future orders in the restaurant, buffet or concession areas of the facility.
*Responsibilities:* ·Respond to orders timely.
· Prepare orders in kitchen areas, while responding to questions from servers.
· Cook food requiring short preparation and serve to guests · Operate and clean Food and Beverage Equipment · Clean and prepare Food and Beverage areas · Follow established food and beverage preparation guidelines · Follow established cleaning guidelines · Other duties including setup and prep, restocking Food & Beverage areas, filling ice bins, closing and cleaning procedures, taking deliveries and stocking .
· Provides fast, friendly, professional and responsive customer service to team members and buffet guests.
*Qualifications:* · High School diploma or equivalent · *Previous experience in food and beverage service a must* · Use weights and measures correctly · Knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen sanitation, operation, and maintenance of kitchen equipment · Read, write legibly, understand and speak English · *Excellent customer service/communication skills* · Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 25 lbs.
, and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
· *Must qualify annually for the Maryland State Racing Commission License.
